Jordan’s Furniture Commercials
Looking up Jordan’s Furniture commercials highlights the stores unique designs. When I tried searching YouTube, I was amazed at how many videos I found that weren’t made by the company themselves. Instead, a number of people made videos showing off their trips to the store for their friends. However, we were able to find a few videos made by the company themselves which we’ll show off here.
This ad from Jordan’s Furniture is pretty slow and dry. The founders in Boston Red Sox uniforms play off the sport with beds, reflecting the slow pace of the game. The ad seems very simplistic, giving the impression that it was made by the brothers themselves instead of by a marketing department. That being said, I feel like the ad works. It plays to the loyalty of Red Sox fans and identifies the company as a true blood Massachusetts company.
In this spot, Jordan’s Furniture showcases the unique presentation of their stores. The founding brothers drive alongside the store and watch the people inside and it almost looks unreal. This isn’t what a furniture store looks like, and yet, at Jordan’s Furniture, it’s exactly what you get. The commercial is again, fairly boring, but it does elicit interest into what exactly this store is all about.
Sometimes, I don’t really know what’s going on in the Jordan’s Furniture shots. Here, they hop on a ride with one of Boston’s duck tours and rest on the back of it. The video plays up the company’s strong roots once more and really connects the company with Boston. Overall, it’s an interesting marketing scheme, and one that really would only work on a local scale I believe.
Overall, Jordan’s furniture serves up an interesting blend of commercials to help promote their company. In truth, I’m not really sure how I feel about it so I leave it up to you guys. What do you think? Are these effective ads or are they all just kind of silly?
