Jordan’s Furniture was founded in 1918 by Samuel Tatelman and was a very small venture at the time. Furniture was sold out of the back of a company truck and while the company got a storefront in 1926, it took them a long time to grow. It was only when the Tatelman brothers Barry and Eliot took over in 1973 that the company really boomed. The brothers took the business and turned it into what it is today, a tremendous enterprise that goes beyond selling furniture.

The big attractions of the Jordan’s Furniture stores are their unique entertainment offerings. The most well-known of these offerings is MOM, Motion Odyssey Movie. MOM is a full-experience theater where the seats will twist and turn along with the movie, as if its something out of Disney. In addition, Jordan’s Furniture has an IMAX theater at one of their stores, and a miniature Boston in another.
Don’t worry though, Jordan’s Furniture isn’t all fun and games. The company has a huge 60,000 square foot clearance center, and a warehouse that is over 750,000 square feet in size. With this scale, the company has a great selection and they are constantly offering new deals. They also like to tie their promotionals around the Red Sox, having given away millions of dollars in furniture when the Red Sox won the World Series in 2007. They also have a decent sprinkling of stores around the state, ensuring you should be able to find one close by.
Overall, Jordan’s Furniture provides a great shopping experience. They have a nice selection of furniture, and what’s more, they’re not afraid to have a little fun in the process. The company has grown significantly over the last twenty years, and with their strong customer service, I won’t be surprised if they grow even further in the next twenty years.
