Where to being with Bel Furniture? The company has stores in Houston, Webster, Humble, and San Antonio with eleven showrooms currently. The company is growing rapidly with a goal of 25 stores in the next five years. With such rapid growth, we were curious to see how Bel Furniture faired in reviews. Keep in mind, the reviews we’ve gathered below are not from us, and are instead, information we have gathered from sources around the web. Unfortunately, it seems that by and large, reviews about Bel Furniture have been very negative. On many of the sites we went to, reviewers were very upset about the experiences they had in the stores. The biggest concern many people had was the unreliability of stock in stores. Advertisements would promote pieces that were out of stock, and people would find the general wares to be unreliable. Some days there would be only 3 or 4 mattresses while others there would be a ton. Going hand in hand with the advertisement issues, some people felt that different promotions were misleading. For instance, in a 7 piece bedroom set, three pieces were the bed itself as it included the headboard and base separately.
Another common complaint involved the terrible performance by sales associates in Bel Furniture. Where most stores receive this complaint, the reasoning was the opposite. In many stores, people criticize the sales associates aggressiveness, feeling like they are constantly under watch. At Bel, reviewers said it was impossible to get anyone to help them as the staff sat on the couches relaxing. Reviewers also criticized the store for ordering the wrong colored products, and for customer service providing inaccurate and misleading information. It ultimately became a challenge to get the product you wanted, even when you were able to find it.
Finally, many people commented on issues with delivery from the store. There were a number of reviews where people would update each week stating that they still hadn’t received their furniture set that they ordered. When ordering furniture, this time of unreliability is disappointing and can add further stress to a purchase. This problem was exacerbated by the poor quality of the customer service as it was often difficult to find information on your piece.
Overall, I was disappointed when I found these reviews as I had high hopes about Bel Furniture. With all that in mind, keep an open mind when you visit the stores and see for yourself.
