Marlo Furniture Reviews

With four locations around Virginia and Maryland, the company has received a number of reviews from a variety of sources. To help you decide if you want to shop there or not, we’ve been working hard to aggregate reviews from around the web. While I would not take these reviews as the de facto answer on Marlo Furniture, I hope they will at least give you some ideas on what to expect when you go there.

The major roast we hear regularly about Marlo Furniture is that their customer service is almost non-existent. The first issue involving customer service was simply getting them to talk to you. One person said that everytime they called, they got redirected to the wrong people. Another person said the receptionist didn’t speak english and wasn’t able to help. Others talked about constantly changing delivery dates from the service department and people making unauthorized deals with you that the service department wasn’t informed on.

Marlo Furniture's stores are massive.

Reflecting on their service, one person summed it up perfectly. The reviewer said “feel free to buy from them, their sales folks are great. But avoid their delivery service at all cost.” Many people reported the delivery giving them damaged furniture and it’s hard to get it out once it’s in your home. Another person talked about the couch that was delivered including the wrong pieces, and the delivery folks said that this happens regularly, they just hope you’re willing to deal with it.

Even though everything sounds bad up to here, there’s a reason Marlo Furniture is still in business. While their furniture can pan out poorly, it is really great looking and listed at very low prices. Many people describe them as an IKEA for areas without IKEA. In this regard, you’re bound to get a little better quality, so it can be worth a shot to give the store a try. While their service side can really disappoint, the opportunities they present are salivating.

Overall, Marlo Furniture falls victim to the same issues that strike many companies. While they’re able to get the products out the door at low prices, they try and save money by cutting costs as much as they can in their service areas. This will leave a lot of customers frustrated, as those who are already upset with their purchase have it exacerbated by the treatment from the service department. If you’ve shopped at Marlo, feel free to leave your thoughts below!
